We are currently seeking a motivated and professional Financial Analyst to provide high quality, financial modelling and finance business support. This is a parental leave contract for an initial 8 month period until July 2021, with the potential to extend.
Scope of Position:
The Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Director, with the purpose of providing high quality, financial modelling and finance business support. This includes developing robust and credible forecasts and analysis of actual results and variances to budget/forecast. You will need to understand and transform data into insights for decision making and strategy formation.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed financial modelling and analysis in regards to the long term plan (key drivers, value creation, main challenges and risks);
- Liaison with internal stakeholders to review and assess key assumptions and drivers, their impact on shareholder distributions and value and key ratios
- Identify improvements and implement them into the long term plan to improve the quality of the data
- Assist in the monthly business reporting (review actuals, analyse key drivers, identify potential issues, compare to budget/ forecast)
- Commercial Analysis
- Support the Finance Director by providing accurate and timely financial analysis, financial modelling and reporting regarding the Group
- Support the annual budget submission and revised forecasting submissions
- Business Partnering with the wider business
- Adhoc projects and process improvement
Skills & Experience:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Accounting/ Finance
- CA/CPA qualification
- Sound SQL (Intermediate Level) will be highly regarded
- Minimum of 3 years’ commercial experience with tangible modelling experience
- Advanced Excel - financial modelling techniques and methodologies
- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Numerical and analytical thinking
- Commercial acumen
- Retail experience will be highly regarded
